Amazing..! Incredible value, even more spacious than it looks & in a beautiful village too! Would recommend for anyone who wants a break from city life but with some modern comforts too!

“We had a fantastic time. We were bowled over by the great size of the living space downstairs and all the bedrooms were really big. My son 21 years took charge of the Aga, keeping it fed with coal and cooking on it. Given that it was quite cold outside the Aga did a great job of heating the house. We all loved the house and went on some great walks from the door. Our son and daughter walked Isaac’s Tea Trail to Alston….”

“We had a great stay and loved the house. Well equipped with everything we could have wanted. We were made to feel instantly at home and welcome. The welcome pack was a lovely treat and Bruce loved his too! Great to go to accommodation that positively welcomes dogs! ”

“This cottage is an absolute gem! A lovely comfortable space that is truly dog friendly. A sun trap of a garden, three very comfortable bedrooms and a lovely kitchen to cook in. What an amazing place you have - it was so wonderful after a day’s walking to come back to somewhere so comfy!”

Mich has created an amazing place! We were privileged to be some of the first people to stay there. The place is huge, very well equipped, we found it very clean, and the Wifi was working, always a bonus when you bring your teenage daughter. The welcome package was lovely - nice to find some crisps and biscuits after a long drive! There is a large enclosed garden, great for a quick evening wee for the dogs, who loved looking at the neighbors' horses. The cottage has a charming traditional feel, with a fully functioning AGA, log burner, and open fire, whilst simultaneously being equipped with a modern kitchen. Nenthead is a great base to explore the North Pennines. There are walks straight out of the front door, or just a short drive away. We had a lovely weekend at Cranmore House, would definitely recommend!

One of our favourite Airbnb stays (and there’s been lots). Well located (if isolated, but that’s part of the charm, of course). Very well stocked kitchen (an Airbnb rarity) and generous welcome pack. Thanks Mich!

Comfy beds, dog friendly and lots of room!

Lovely big open space with a great garden which is completely enclosed so perfect if you have dogs. The beds were lovely and comfortable and the little extra touches, really made us feel at home. Some wonderful walks right from the door too, which was perfect! Would definitely return!

We have just had a 3 night break at Cranmore House. The house was even better than we expected. It’s so spacious with lovely big beds & a great enclosed garden for the dogs. The house is short of nothing and is a perfect location for exploring the area. It has a very homely feel about it.
